Medical Education Unit

The Medical Education Unit (MEU) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning within the institution. It focuses on the continuous professional development of faculty, curriculum improvement, and hands-on training through workshops.

Vision

MEU actively participates in the design, review, and implementation of the medical curriculum, in line with the standards of the National Medical Commission (NMC). The unit:

  • Supports outcome-based education and vertical/horizontal integration
  • Aligns curriculum with core competencies and learning outcomes.
  • Encourages the use of modern educational tools and interactive methods.
  • Ensures uniformity and relevance across departments.

Workshop

Regular training workshops are conducted to build capacity and promote educational innovation. Key areas include:

  • Curriculum planning and implementation
  • Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE/OSPE)
  • Formative and summative assessment methods
  • Teaching in small groups and large classrooms
  • Use of simulation and skills labs

These workshops help faculty stay proficient in both traditional and emerging educational methodologies.
